Privacybeleid – SmartDry App

SmartDry Vochtbestrijding, onderdeel van Schrijver Vochtbestrijding B.V., respecteert uw privacy en verwerkt persoonsgegevens in overeenstemming met de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG / GDPR).

In dit privacybeleid wordt uitgelegd hoe persoonsgegevens worden verwerkt bij gebruik van de SmartDry mobiele applicatie (de “App”) en SmartDry verbonden apparaten (de “Apparaten”).

Installatielocaties van apparaten
Door gebruikers ingevoerde adressen of geschatte locatiegegevens
GPS- of andere locatiegegevens indien nodig voor installatie of functionaliteit

Gebruiks- en diagnostische gegevens

Interactie met de app
Foutmeldingen en prestatiegegevens

Machtigingen zoals meldingen, Bluetooth, wifi of locatie worden uitsluitend gebruikt wanneer noodzakelijk voor installatie of functionaliteit en kunnen worden beheerd via apparaatinstellingen.

Wij verzamelen niet bewust gevoelige persoonsgegevens.

Doeleinden van gegevensverwerking

Persoonsgegevens worden verwerkt om:

Apparaatmonitoring en bediening mogelijk te maken
Apparaten te koppelen en configureren
Meldingen bij vocht- of schimmelrisico te versturen
Meetgegevens en trends weer te geven
Meerdere locaties en apparaten te beheren
Klantenservice en onderhoud te bieden
Diensten en betrouwbaarheid te verbeteren
Veiligheid en misbruik te voorkomen
Te voldoen aan wettelijke verplichtingen

Apparaatgegevens kunnen toegankelijk zijn voor de accounthouder of organisatie die verantwoordelijk is voor de installatielocatie.

Rechtsgrondslag (AVG)

Gegevensverwerking is gebaseerd op:

Uitvoering van een overeenkomst
Gerechtvaardigd belang
Toestemming van gebruiker
Wettelijke verplichtingen

Gebruikers kunnen hun toestemming op elk moment intrekken via app- of apparaatinstellingen zonder gevolgen voor eerdere rechtmatige verwerking.

SmartDry maakt geen gebruik van geautomatiseerde besluitvorming of profilering met juridische of vergelijkbare gevolgen voor gebruikers.

Delen van gegevens

Wij verkopen geen persoonsgegevens.

Gegevens kunnen worden gedeeld met:

Cloud- en hostingproviders
IoT-platformproviders die nodig zijn voor werking van SmartDry-apparaten (zoals Tuya IoT cloudservices)
Klantenservice- en ondersteuningssystemen
Analyse- en prestatiemonitoringdiensten uitsluitend voor verbetering van stabiliteit en functionaliteit

Geautoriseerde SmartDry-technici of servicemedewerkers kunnen toegang hebben tot apparaatgegevens voor installatie, onderhoud of ondersteuning.

Verwerkers

SmartDry maakt gebruik van externe verwerkers voor hosting, infrastructuur, analyse, klantenservice en apparaatconnectiviteit. Deze partijen handelen uitsluitend volgens instructies van SmartDry en onder verwerkersovereenkomsten conform artikel 28 AVG.

Alle derde partijen werken onder vertrouwelijkheid en verwerkersovereenkomsten.

Internationale gegevensoverdracht

Wanneer gegevens buiten de Europese Economische Ruimte worden verwerkt, worden passende beschermingsmaatregelen toegepast, zoals standaardcontractbepalingen.

Bewaartermijnen

Gegevens worden niet langer bewaard dan noodzakelijk voor dienstverlening of wettelijke verplichtingen.

Account- en apparaatgegevens kunnen worden bewaard zolang een account actief is en doorgaans niet langer dan 24 maanden daarna, tenzij wettelijke verplichtingen of geschillen dit vereisen.

Beveiligingsmaatregelen

Wij gebruiken passende technische en organisatorische maatregelen overeenkomstig industriestandaarden, waaronder versleuteling en toegangsbeperkingen.

Rechten van gebruikers

Gebruikers hebben het recht om:

Inzage te krijgen in persoonsgegevens
Gegevens te laten corrigeren
Gegevens te laten verwijderen
Verwerking te beperken
Bezwaar te maken tegen verwerking
Gegevens over te dragen

Verzoeken worden doorgaans binnen 30 dagen verwerkt.

Gebruikers hebben ook het recht een klacht in te dienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Privacy van kinderen

SmartDry diensten zijn niet bedoeld voor kinderen jonger dan 16 jaar en wij verzamelen niet bewust gegevens van kinderen.

Accountverwijdering

Gebruikers kunnen hun account laten verwijderen via:
https://www.smartdry.nl/delete-account

Verwijderingsverzoeken worden binnen 30 dagen verwerkt tenzij wettelijke bewaarplichten gelden.

Verwijdering beëindigt permanent de toegang tot SmartDry diensten en verwijdert persoonsgegevens, behalve gegevens die tijdelijk in beveiligde back-ups of om wettelijke redenen bewaard moeten blijven.

Wijzigingen in dit beleid

Dit privacybeleid kan periodiek worden aangepast. Wijzigingen worden op deze pagina gepubliceerd.

SmartDry Vochtbestrijding, part of Schrijver Vochtbestrijding B.V., respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when using the SmartDry mobile application (the “App”) and SmartDry connected devices (the “Devices”).

Data We Collect

When using SmartDry services, we may process the following categories of data:

Device identifiers and connection data
App usage and diagnostic information
Device status and configuration

Measurement Data

Humidity and temperature readings
Device operation status
Alerts and notifications triggered by measurements

Device installation locations
Addresses entered by users or approximate location data
GPS or location data from mobile devices when required for device setup or functionality

Usage & Diagnostics

App interaction data
Crash reports and performance data

Permissions such as notifications, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or location services are only used when required for device setup or functionality and can be managed through mobile device settings.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.

Purpose of Processing

Personal data is processed to:

Provide device monitoring and control functionality
Enable device pairing and configuration
Provide humidity and damp alerts
Display device measurements and historical trends
Enable multi-location device management
Provide customer support and maintenance services
Improve service quality and reliability
Ensure system security and fraud prevention
Comply with legal obligations

Device data may also be accessible to the account holder or organization managing the installation location.

Legal Basis (GDPR)

Data processing is based on:

Performance of contract (service delivery)
Legitimate interest (service improvement and security)
User consent (notifications, location services)
Legal obligations where applicable

Users may withdraw consent at any time through device or app settings without affecting prior lawful processing.

SmartDry does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects for users.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

Data may be shared with:

Cloud infrastructure providers
IoT platform providers required to operate SmartDry devices (such as Tuya IoT cloud services)
Technical and customer support systems
Analytics or performance monitoring providers used solely to improve app stability, functionality, and user experience

Authorized SmartDry technicians or service personnel may access device data to provide installation, support, or maintenance services.

Processors

SmartDry uses third-party data processors to provide hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, and device connectivity services. These processors act solely on SmartDry’s instructions and under data processing agreements in accordance with GDPR Article 28.

All third parties operate under confidentiality and data processing agreements.

International Data Transfers

Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied.

Data Retention

Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations.

Device and account data may remain stored while an account is active and for a limited period afterward, normally not exceeding 24 months unless required for legal, warranty, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

Security Measures

We apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures consistent with industry standards, including encryption, restricted access, and secure infrastructure to protect data.

User Rights

Under GDPR, users may request:

Users also have the right to lodge complaints with their local data protection authority.

Children’s Privacy

SmartDry services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Account Deletion

Users may request account deletion via:

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

Deletion permanently removes access to SmartDry services and deletes personal data associated with the account, except data retained for legal or security obligations or remaining in secure backup systems for a limited period.
